My name is Jane Agirtan and over the past 20 years, I’ve been fortunate enough to live, raise my family and work in Melbourne’s South East, by the bay.

I was born in a small mining town in Siberia and came to Australia in 2004 as a skilled migrant. Fast forward through years of hard slog running commercial kitchens while competing my postgrads in business and accounting and here we are – living the dream by the beach with my partner Kevvo and daughter Rubz!

Professionally, I’ve been a Chartered Accountant and a small business advisor for well over a decade.

Prior to my career in Accounting, I worked in various iconic Melbourne restaurants as a chef and I also taught at a school in the Middle East while travelling.

I love crunching numbers and really enjoy working with people – whether it’s helping clients achieve their financial goals, supporting and mentoring staff or negotiations with various government agencies. Outside of work I’m passionate about my local community here in southeast Melbourne, environmental issues and involved in community advocacy and campaigning.

For many years I have participated in my ethnic community, public affairs, policy development and a number of non-for profit initiatives in both office bearer and volunteer capacities.

On a weekend you’d find me at a yoga retreat, hiking, fishing, or sampling IPA’s and local produce at a micro brewery!

As a local resident, ratepayer, parent and former Kingston Ward committee member, I understand the challenges our local community is facing and I’m prepared to roll up my sleeves, get involved and make a difference!

With your support, I’m confident that I’ll be a strong local voice to bring real change in our ward!
