Hundreds with disabilities could soon be getting hooked on fishing, thanks to plans for an estimated $370,000 floating pontoon platform (depicted) accessible at Mordialloc Pier.

At 8.58 metres wide with a non-slip surface it would be wheelchair accessible, and complimented by nearby disabled car parking bays. A permit is being considered at an upcoming Council meeting, with approvals and agreements from Parks Victoria and Melbourne Water also required.
