It was a big week in Australian politics.
There was plenty that went on, but the story that stood out the most to me was the release of the latest monthly inflation data. Headline inflation rose from 3.6% to 4% in the month of May, while core inflation rose to 4.4%.
This is the last thing Australians needed as we struggle with the cost of living crisis.
But it is the result of Labor spending the last two years completely distracted with the wrong priorities and absolutely no interest in the economic prosperity of our country.
Not only are Labor throwing our economy down the drain, they are also overseeing an energy policy trainwreck.
This week we heard that we are now at risk of gas shortages in Victoria this winter, and blackouts in the summer.
Australian families and businesses are under the pump and things are getting even worse and there’s no relief in sight.
Headlines from mainstream media below are quite confronting. We’re no longer the “lucky country” – we’re a place where middle class, two income families sleep in cars and cant afford toiletries.
What is the goverment doing to help everyday Aussie? Absolutely nothing.
Well… Monique “put your mask on!” Ryan also known as Karen from Kooyong had recently billed taxpayers 28 grand for her bushiness class flights to Canberra, during her first year in office.
Incredible how our lives changed for the worst since May 2022 – in a very short period of just over 2 years.
As they say, elections do have consequences!
